ACO Rainwater Outlet

Introduction to Rainwater Range

Over the past few years, there have been major advances and improvements in the materials used in modern roofing technology. The Specifier now has renewed confidence to take full advantage of the benefits of a flat roof and low-pitched roof design concept.
Flat roofs allow greater flexibility with application such as roof-top gardens, patios, car parks, building services and ventilation equipment and extensive or irregular shaped buildings can be roofed more quickly and cost effectively than a pitched roof.
Any flat area needs careful designed to ensure efficient removal of surface water. Traditionally water from a flat roof is channelled using a slope to a rainwater pipe. Leaks can often occur at the junction of the membrane and the rainwater pipe.
ACO Building Drainage’s rainwater outlets provide a watertight joint between the membrane and the outlet by mechanically clamping the membrane to the sump unit.
There are two product families with the rainwater range: Mk 3 range and HP range. The Mk 3 range of vertical spigot rainwater outlets features a unique quick action twist release dome grate, providing fast and convenient maintenance. This feature eliminates the need for central hook bolts/nuts or clamping bolts that can be lost during maintenance updates.
The HP range of outlets provides rainwater drainage solutions for a wider range of applications. The unit’s feature advance grating geometry, which increases the flow of water through the outlet, compared to more traditional systems. It also secures gratings to prevent vandalism and theft.
