The 'industry standard'
is how Plymouth architect Steen Mitchell Ltd describes ACO's comprehensive range
of drainage solutions within the food preparation industry. Where
better to put this theory of ACO's hygienic, corrosion resistant and cost-effective
products into practice than at Bristol Catering Butchers' prestigious premises
in Avonmouth.
The completely renovated site incorporates a number of food preparation areas,
from cutting through to processing, all of which required ACO's custom-made AS301
channel drainage system. AS301 was specified to overcome the limited floor depths,
being laid into the new 500 - 600 mm floor, built on top of the existing floor.
In the main production area, two 28m lengths of AS301 were installed, complete
with ladder gratings, at either end of the floor to facilitate the fast and efficient
removal of wastewater. AS301 channel in lengths of up to 18m were fitted elsewhere
on the premises including the refrigeration and dispatch areas.
In addition, ACO double-sealed recessed Eurocovers were also installed to
provide durable, air and water tight and corrosion resistant access covers whilst
also ensuring continuity of floor finish. The Eurocovers were finished with Vinyl
Seal(TM) to obviate bug traps and unsightly cumbersome mechanical clamping mechanisms.
A spokesperson for Steen Mitchell Ltd, said: "ACO's channel drainage systems
are the industry standard as they have proved their performance over many years.
Also, the technical staff are knowledgeable and always provide us with a high
level of support when required." |
